About Me

My name is Richard.  I am a designer with 35 years of practice in electronics engineering systems involving audio, semiconductors and feedback control.  I started learning by modifying vacuum tube designs that I found in my Grandpa's radio's, then building and designing my own circuits in Junior High and High School and finally by graduating from Texas Tech in 1976 and worked as a Design Engineer at Hewlett Packard.  I continued with a successful career at Texas Instruments, Tandem Computers and Cirrus Logic. Throughout my primary career, I always thrived on teaching and explaining my design work.  While the design work is exciting, the documentation of my work always took precedence over my original creations.  I'm engaging upon an additional career to enhance the area I enjoy most -- teaching and training.  The skills and knowledge I've attained though the M.Ed. program boost my strengths forward to an additional exciting late life contribution to society.  It is an ideal alignment that captures all of my past experience and places an umbrella around it for growth.

My E-Portfolio's Purpose

The purpose of my e-portfolio is to house completed assignments through the course of my work in the M. Ed. Educational Technology program and to serve as a reference of my growth, knowledge, and skills in the area of technology integration throughout M. Ed. Educational Technology program
